What a course day looks like
- Just before 10:00 – meet at the practice slope by the Kaiserburgbahn. Our instructors divide the children into groups by age and ability.
- 10:00 – off we go. The youngest start playfully on the magic carpet, while the more advanced children ride the lift or the gondola with their group.
- Short break to warm up and catch their breath.
- 13:00 – pick-up at the meeting point. You get a quick update on how the day went.
- On the last day of the course: a final race with a prize-giving.
Why children love learning to ski with us
- Small steps, lots of play. With the magic carpet, our mascot and games, even three-year-olds learn to stop, turn and ride the lift – without any pressure.
- A spacious practice area with a gentle start all the way to the gondola – the children stay in a clearly defined, safe area.
- An experienced team of around 20 instructors, for 25 years, led by Gerhard Brunner, a state-certified ski instructor (Diplom-Skilehrer) and ski guide.
- Photos of the course – so you can see afterwards what your child got up to.
- Everything close by: the ski school office and ski hire (our partner Sport Christian, with a discount for course participants) are right next to Therme Römerbad, around 50 m above the Kaiserburgbahn. Parking is available at the Kaiserburgbahn.
Which course suits your child?
- Never been on skis before? Beginners' group. A taster day at the weekend is ideal for finding out whether your child enjoys it.
- Can already snowplough and ride the lift? Improvers' group – the focus here is on parallel turns and first red runs.
- Prefer something fully tailored? Lots of children learn with us in private lessons – with undivided attention and flexible times, from €70, siblings + €20. See private lessons for children.
What your child should bring
Ski helmet (compulsory), ski goggles, waterproof gloves (mittens are best), ski suit, thin ski socks, sun cream and a small drink. Full packing list: Your child's first day on skis.
